16  MELLENCAMP.COM ANNOUNCEMENTS / Ask Mellencamp.com / Re: New Music? on: October 16, 2012, 03:42:32 pm
We are so spoiled!!!!  I am with you, I am hoping JM is working on some new material right now.  How many artists have put out the number of records that John has???  I can't wait to see what he writes next and to be heading to another concert tour!!!!!!!!  I miss Pat too but I don't think she is coming back.  Those were the days with her singing and dancing her heart out.
17  MELLENCAMP.COM ANNOUNCEMENTS / Mellencamp.com Blog / Re: Patrick Ginter Portrait of John on: September 06, 2012, 12:46:29 pm
We met Patrick outside the Orpheum as we all waited for JM to come out.  I was hoping to get a picture of John and my 13 year old daughter Deena.  I was pregnant with Deena during the Mr Happy Go Lucky show at the Northrup in Minneapolis in 1997 and ended up having her a few hours after the show.  She is now 15 and loves music and is a fantastic singer.  I wonder why!

Anyway...  When JM came out, he saw Patrick and took him right into his dressing room/streamline camper.  He totally recognized him.  Any way, we didn't even get to say hi it all happened to fast.  I will never forget that show.  My daughter and fellow Mellenhead friend, Jessica, and myself enjoyed our front row seats.  I was so proud of the fans that night as they loved it too and showed JM and band a lot of appreciation.

The painting is beautiful!

Just saw this and the songs are not available any more.  Will you please upload them again?  Thanks so much for sharing!
20  MELLENCAMP DISCUSSION / All About John / Re: John's Mom Passes Away on: February 03, 2012, 02:41:35 pm
It is so diffucult to deal with one of your parents or grandparents passing away, my heart and prayers go out to the Mellencamp family.  I did not get the opportunity to meet Marilyn personally but it is easy to see what an incredible, talented woman she was.  John's music helped me through the grief I experienced and gave me some peace when my dad passed away from Parkinsons disease.  I hope music will help him through it too.
21  MELLENCAMP DISCUSSION / All About John / Re: Keith Urban mentions John in interview on: October 24, 2011, 04:28:06 pm
I am surprise Jon Bream didn't take the Mellencamp mention out of this interview.  The last 2 times John played in the Twin Cities, his review of the show were not good.  I try not to ever read anything he writes after those reviews.  Thanks for sharing!
22  MELLENCAMP DISCUSSION / All About John / Re: Meg and John Cuddle & Kiss In Romantic Rome on: July 22, 2011, 03:23:25 pm
Huffington post said quote: "Meg's boyfriend, John Mellencamp, came along on the European vacation."

Not anything about that she was there to be with him on tour.  JM is gettng a lot more Media attention now that he is with Meg.
23  MELLENCAMP DISCUSSION / All About John / Re: Fall US tour????? on: July 22, 2011, 03:18:41 pm
That would be so amazing!  My 2 favs of all time.  Went to see Bob in May in St. Paul.  That guy rocked the place and sang every old song you could possibly think of.  I became a bigger fan of JMs when Bob quit putting out new albums.  If Bob would of kept touring, it would of been hard to decide how many JM shows I could go to vs Bob shows!
24  MELLENCAMP DISCUSSION / No Better Than This Tour Talk / Re: Rome on: July 12, 2011, 01:57:52 pm
I have to add my opinion on this for all of you fans that were so excited to finally see JM in Italy.  It is very sad the concert was not promoted well and I can't imagine watching the film without understanding it.  There should of definitely been some translation to Italian.  If I waited that long to see a show in my home town or country and he played a much shorter show than the rest of the shows, I would not be happy.  I also understand that he probably wasn't too happy with the promotion of the show, the audience reaction to the film, and maybe some other things.

I love JM and nothing will ever change that.  He can sing whatever he wants as long as he keeps singing.  I just don't ever want those shows to end when I get an opportunity to actually see him perform live.
25  MELLENCAMP DISCUSSION / All About John / Re: John and Meg Set Wedding Date on: June 10, 2011, 03:06:35 pm
Well you can't believe most of what you hear if any of it.  Although, John has not spent much of his adult life unmarried so who knows?  Maybe they will secretly get married when he is on tour in Europe this summer.  Time will tell and I just hope that he finds peace and happiness in this messed up world.
26  MELLENCAMP DISCUSSION / All About John / Re: Best Album Ever. on: May 05, 2011, 01:53:25 pm
This is so hard!  I have to rank some of them the same.
1.  Nothin' Matters And What If It Did (why I fell in love with JM music)
2.  John Cougar (from '79)
3.  John Mellencamp
3.  Uh-Huh
4.  Scarecrow
4.  Lonesome Jubilee
4.  Human Wheels
27  MELLENCAMP DISCUSSION / All About John / Re: Pic of his Food/drink request sheet for New Orleans fest on: May 05, 2011, 01:48:10 pm
I think he chews all of those packs of gum during 1 show!   Smiley

All of the dairy products are interesting, milk and yogurt.  The tea probably helps the singing voice.  I like tea when my throat is scratchy or sore.  Bananas help reduce stress and provide a lot of energy.

Thanks for sharing this.
28  MELLENCAMP DISCUSSION / All About John / Re: Pics of John, Hud and Elaine At Golden gloves boxing match(april 14th 2011) on: April 15, 2011, 05:09:53 pm

29  MELLENCAMP DISCUSSION / All About John / Re: Is it time for John to lighten up. on: April 02, 2011, 09:49:23 pm
Couldn't agree more.  Have fun and enjoy every moment of your life John!!!  You are the man and your fans love you!!!!!!!
30  MELLENCAMP DISCUSSION / All About John / Re: John's "Look" on: February 22, 2011, 04:35:27 pm
My husband said he looked like Kris Kristofferson when we saw him in November.  I agreed.  lol...  He sure does pull up those pants all the time.  I think he needs a tailor so he doesn't have to deal with that during a show.  I like guys with gray hair.  At least he has a nice head of hair!  I don't like the beard though.
