Went to the opening of this exhibit tonight. I really like John's new work - the mixed media, mirrors and assemblages are very interesting. It was cool to see some of the older pieces like 'John with Puppet', 'Gates of Hell', 'Stardust Sisters' and 'Party Goers' in person for the first time too. John looked great - seemed very tan, relaxed and in good spirits. If you're in the general area (we drove an hour+) the exhibit (and Gallery) is definitely worth a visit - check it out!
