err, while I think it would be amazing to see Hud, I think you mean Speck.  Hud is the boxer, Speck is the muso.

I'm loving it. He looks great. If he was to keep up with the dark hair, then he was going to start looking ridiculous.

If you don't want to, or can't pay the price, don't go.  There are plenty of shows I would like to attend but my budget doesn't stretch that far.  I pick and choose which I can or can't afford and sometimes I have to miss a few really good artists so that I can spend more money on those I consider a "can't miss this one." For me, JM comes under "can't miss this one".  Last time JM was here in Australia (2008) I paid $300 per ticket and I bought 6 tickets covering 2 shows. This did not include any special offers or merch, it only covered seats and it was money well spent. I understand that not everyone is in a possition to pay high prices, but there are always cheaper tix available.  I choose the amount I'm prepared to pay depending on the artist, so sometimes I'm up near the stage, and sometimes I'm way up in the nosebleeds.....and sometimes I just stay home.  Maybe if people didn't have so many concerts to choose from, and had to deal with many years between tours like I do here in Australia, then people would appreciate the fact that there is still a JM concert to attend.

DD bought a music magazine today as her favourite band was featured in it.  We get home, she's looking through it and asked me if I wanted to read up on her fav band.  I said I might do so later.  She then yells "mom, mom, I bet you'll read it now," and holds up a double page of Mellencamp photos.  Luckily for me, she had bought Q magazine (from UK) and although I'd already read the article online, it was nice to see it in a magazine with pictures too. 

We have since agreed to 'share ownership' of her magazine!!!    

You and me both Dar!   Don't know where to get the camera or photographer, but we at least have an idea where to get the outfit.....we'll start in NY and if we don't find him there, we'll head back to Indiana!    lol!

I totally agree. It is not our place to speculate on what has or has not happened.  Basically, other than to wish the whole family best wishes, it is none of our business.

Well, if this year is anythang to go by, then you'd better plan on coming to the west coast as the weather in the east has been crap... rain, floods and more floods.

JM was over here 2 years ago.  It was great to see him again after 16 1/2 years and I hope he makes it back here real soon but, I'm still planning to go see him in the US one day.
