Thinking about going to the Toledo, OH show. I can't wait for October! THANK YOU John for continuing this tour! All my prayers are being answered haha! And I'm SO happy Carlene Carter is still touring with him. She's THE BEST I swear. She's my favorite female singer! And John is my favorite male singer! This is like heaven for me hahaha!

Hey Brianna,
I was one of the few waiting in the parking garage! You SO deserved to get that front row seat!! Congrats!! And isn't Miriam the BEST!!!!! She really treats you like an old friend!! LOVE HER!!!!!
Ya..casino security kicked us out before John showed up...oh well.....casinos are weird huh? Ya, the shows are shorter and all that....but any chance we have to see John play...we grab it .... BUT...first time I've SAT through a Mellencamp concert! Crazy! Truly!
I've had my share of Mellenmoments and they are something you will never forget!
-"somedays I still don't know what to do"-
Mary in Michigan
Oh hi there fellow Michigander and Mellenhead! Sometimes I feel like the only one in this whole state who loves him hahaha!!! And thank you SO much for your kind words! Front row WAS a blast! It DID suck having to sit down the whole show, didn't it? That was also my first sitting down the whole time at a Mellencamp show. They told us that we had to sit down so everyone could see but everyone's height is still the same whether we're standing or sitting... if I were in the back for example, it would make not difference whether I was sitting in my seat or or standing because I would still not be able to see anyways! Sitting down does not make everybody equal... people's heads are still taller than another. Making us sit down is stupid because it doesn't solve the "I can't see" problem and it only makes people more anxious to dance. Just let us stand up and enjoy ourselves! And ME TOO! Even though I said on here that I would never see John at a casino again, I would if it was my last option. A crazy Mellenhead will do ANYTHING to be with John! The #1 Best Songwriter Ever!!! <3

LOL Thank you I got it working again. I was using my phone to do it so the formatting looked weird and I didn't try to click enter. I didn't know I didn't have to do anything. Thanks for telling me I was worried that I would never be able to post on here again. I love John Mellencamp too much

Oh my goodness that makes me MAD. I mean I'm even younger than those girls by a few good years and I have like 100x more respect for John than them! What immature, rude, and unappreciative idiots! I 101% agree wit you- they should've never came in the first place. That disgusts me when there is a legend on stage and everyone just ignores the hell out of him. I would've kicked them out to be honest. They can go continue their conversation outside. What assholes. Also the management DOES sound too loose. At the shows I went to, the management was a little too strict. No pictures, no drinks, no STANDING. Can you believe that? The no drinks is great, and I don't care much for pictures but why can't we stand? It was HORRIBLE. I wanted to dance SO bad!

Willie,
I agree with you 100% on all accounts. My seats were in the pit 2nd row. Before the Mellencamp performance began I saw a few men carrying in 4 beers at a time in a fast food style drink holder. I immediately thought what venue sells my than 2 beers at a time? Nowhere I know of. The security was worthless. A few fans jumping into the pit right in front of the security. Very disappointing when fans pay extra for the VIP experience to be up there and then have no control over it. Unlikely that I will go to this venue again - a nightmare of a town and venue.
Thank you very much! I'm sorry that you had to experience what you did, but it does tell me that there are at least some other decent people still out there. What a shame. How about the time when John was talking to the audience and stopped. He told the people that he was just waiting for them to get done talking before he went on. Mellencamp was even upset. Wait, you're telling me that John had to STOP HIS SHOW for some assholes to quit talking? OMG! How fucking rude! What else happened!?

Yeah Mellencamp has said many times that he does not want to perform in front of drunk people. Who really would want to be around drunks, anyways? They just get in the way of enjoying the performance. I saw John live last year and there might've been drunks there but I was in the front row so I couldn't tell. None of the drunks seem to be in the front, most are in the back and sides from what I can tell. They're probably to drunk to find the stage LOL

YES they are! Do NOT go to a casino show! They're much shorter and lamer and I didn't have as much fun at all. I almost feel like crying... I love John I almost feel like I wasted my time and money when I went to that show... Theaters and halls are WAY better. The time I much longer and the show is totally worth it. I speak from experience with both casino and theater shows. And yes, his band members were VERY engaged with the audience and smiles a whole lot. I even met Miriam which was the highlight of the day. John, on the other hand... I don't know, he just seemed pissed off about something. You know, if a band is unhappy, so will the audience. Such a shame that he didn't even flash one smile to us. I know he's thankful for his fans and they're the only reason why he even continues these tours. That's why I'll always love John Mellencamp. But it was hard to tell at that show. I feel like crying again. I never thought that I'd go to a John Mellencamp show and be so upset that I felt like crying after. What happened!?
