1  MELLENCAMP.COM ANNOUNCEMENTS / Ticket & Tour Questions / Re: Saratoga Show on: March 15, 2017, 12:02:20 am
Please can you tell me how large is that venue? And how far away from LA? The other shows in Ca. is at THe Greek and last I was there that place was a mess. So far from the band it was crazy. This is SUPER personal and I really wanted to get a great seat. I would appreciate any reply. I already feel strange posting it on a public board once not doing it several times but I love Johns music however this show I really don't want be in the back rear section of any venue : )
Thanks so much!

Hey Lisa, I just saw your post "I'm sorry you didn't get a great seat" I just saw the Crossroads airing on webpage... must have been amazing to be there!!! I am stoked he will be in LA in June. It's been a long time since I have seen him in concert worried about seating. In fact going look up the venues that are smaller to the Greek to see if it's worth the drive so THANKS for your post. My ex used to work for him and he committed suicide 2 yrs. ago, I couldn't go that year it was way too fresh but now I am ready to just say good bye my way. Since we met, got married, toured etc. on Scarecrow Tour to me this is the way I have to do it. With John's music I know got be to the way...(fingers crossed I can get a good seat!) Cry
Good Luck on next years Mellencamp fix ! Blessings your way!!!!!!!!!!!

3  MELLENCAMP DISCUSSION / The Band / Re: Female singer in Paper and Fire on: March 06, 2015, 09:32:25 pm
Yes I was friends with both of them. I met my ex husband on Scarecrow and then of course we had so many friends who went on with him to the next following albums. I have a picture where Pat was singing Cherry Bomb to me (left stage my spot lol) we both was crying our eyes out .... They are great girls. Pat was the one who sang, Chrystal played every instrument you could imagine and then some. She however was right in there on many songs.
I love those guys ! The memories are like yesterday. I so much want get in touch with many of them... my ex and I remained friends for years up until his death this year.
In fact I have just begun a book on small town girl getting on a tour bus marrying a sound engineer, winding up in L.A. I can honestly say "changed my life." John's music is still what I listen to, still what hits that place in my Soul that rocks my World. There was lots of bands but none like Melloncamp. Living on the bus hanging with the girls they were my family at the time, enough for a book!
4  MELLENCAMP DISCUSSION / Introduce Yourself / Re: my story on: May 08, 2012, 03:31:16 pm
Scarecrow started a long history in my life. I love the ex when you referred to your husband, How would you have liked going to that concert and marrying one of John's crew 34 days later! Yes it lasted 13 yrs. and I got the bad end of the stick.... wasn't John he tried and warn me. Love for the music is what drew me in. I still listen to Sacrecrow, love the old,new and Farm Aid stuff!! John has done so much to be from Indiana. I got to Ca. left the small town behind will never forget the memories, listen to his music everyday. The 1st songs my kids knew was his. They are grown now also, still love it! I would love to see him again, I'm Huh Lips sealed thinking of writing a book..living on the bus all of those months....and what followed. I have been asked before but wasn't ready.
How great is it to see how much, how far John has branched out!! I respect him for things unless you were there never would know. He stuck always to what he believed in. A huge part of my life is caught in between Scarecrow, next couple of tours. I have heard so many of the people I knew from then are now past. Sad ! John rocks on and does it in a what seems to be a new way! I hope to get a few minutes with him again one day....if not maybe my book will get into his hands. Rock on John!! I am a fan like no other (maybe Pat) Gods many blessing to all of the fans!!!
5  MELLENCAMP DISCUSSION / Introduce Yourself / Since Small Town Tour...how life has changed on: May 08, 2012, 03:14:34 pm
In 1986 I was introduced to John, band and crew in Baton Rouge,La. I left with the band, having what I thought was a show in Fl. the following week. This turned into marrying the ass. sound engineer !! Biggest mistake of my life still after many tours, long bus rides, friendships and finding out I was left with a drug addict who beat me..I still to this day listen to John every time I get into my car. I love his music so much! Those were great days traveling with all of them. I have kept up with his career, family and so many changes since those couple of tours. ELectrotec isn't even there any longer but his music hits your Soul. It became healing to my heart,I love the new stuff, but I really get into all of the stuff I watched night and night. John says it like he means it most of the time. I have always wanted him to know what happened "he gave it a year.." lol I wished I had just gave it a yr. One day I really pray he comes back to Ca. and I can just let him see what Patrick did to me(yes it is very visible) also tell him how JM Music has gotten me through so many days, years. Wishing him all the best always and keep it coming! Give Pat my love so many long talks...never forgotten!!! John is a great guy at heart, his music will live forever !!!
