Title: "Delia"
Post by: Smalltownboy on February 03, 2011, 11:25:18 am
I just watched/listened to John's version of "Delia".  It's excellent!  It would have fitted perfectly on the No Better Than This album.  I love it when a rock 'n' roll artist like John can take an old song like that and transform it into something really special.  There's so much emotion in the lyrics and way John sings it.  I really love all the acoustic stuff John's done.

Unbelievable, i just listened to it.  Probably the best cover he has ever done.  Wish it would be put on itunes I'd buy it in a second.  Ill just have to convert it from youtube I guess.

The man amazes me.  I DO NOT instantly LUV everything John releases, especially of late.  LDLF still has 6 songs that I'll never like.  That said, I respect the hell out of what he is trying to do.  Delia, on 1st listen, is pretty awesome.  Nice job.
