Title: Is Easter Eve a true story?
Post by: buzzincousin on November 14, 2011, 01:25:19 pm
When John introduced Easter Eve recently (Newark, 11/5/11) he seemed to indicate the lyrics were factually true.
Is it a true story?
How much is true?
They went to jail?
Where?
Which cafe?
Which son? - Hud?
Are there any online news articles?

I have no inside knowledge, but I'd say there's zero chance it's true.

It's a great story nonetheless.  I love those kinds of storytelling songs.  The lyrics of John's Easter Eve paint a picture of the scene.  It's very visual.  It's almost like a mini movie.
