Post by: Heartlandrocker on June 13, 2011, 10:51:03 am
Sad news that the big man from springsteens east street band,is in serious conditon in hospital after suffering a stroke at home...he'd been suffering health problems on the magic, and working on a dream tours(08-09)..having extensive surgery for hip and knee replacments..hes shown courage to overcome the pain, and still not let bruce and the band down..a truly great saxophone player..and a very humble human being..best wishes to him and family at this worrying time.

I just read the news on Backstreets.  This is very sad news.  Clarence is a wonderful musician.  He and Bruce have been together for a long time.  Hopefully he'll make a full recovery.

I just heard the sad news this morning that Clarence passed away yesterday at the age of 69.  The "Big Man" will be missed by friends and fans alike.
